Pieter Veldkamp | Head of Purchasing Kingspan Insulation: “Kingspan Insulation is one of the five divisions of the Kingspan Group that operates worldwide. We produce hard foam insulation boards in our factory in Winterswijk. These are used for new construction and renovation projects. Within our division, we distinguish three different product groups: technical insulation (e.g., pipe insulation), Kooltherm insulation boards, and PIR (Polyisocyanurate) insulation boards.”
An example of one of our PIR products is the iSoEasy system. iSoEasy is a complete system in which hard foam boards are combined with chipboard with accompanying plastic profiles and fasteners. With this system, we offer a perfect solution for the insulation of existing roof structures. It is a ready-made system for the do-it-yourselfer and is offered in DIY stores. Professionals can purchase the iSoEasy sheets made to measure up to a length of 3 meters. With the iSoEasy system, Kingspan was the first manufacturer to bring such a system onto the market in 2010.
Pieter Veldkamp: “The name iSoEasy says it all, post-insulation should be made as easy as possible. We are dealing with the do-it-yourselfer who longs for simple and affordable solutions. From the beginning of the development of the iSoEasy system, CF Plastic Profiles has been the party with which we have been able to come up with a total solution, both then and now. CF Plastic Profiles thinks along with us and is also realistic when it comes to suggested solutions. Incidentally, in addition to the iSoEasy system, we also see the same approach in the many other plastic profiles that we have developed with and purchased from CF Plastic Profiles.”
Pieter Veldkamp: “Recently, we started to further develop an existing product. The reason for this is that there is a growing demand from the market for even better insulation. In turn, this has to do with the current requirements for insulation values, which are continually increasing.
Kingspan is always looking for ways to serve the market better. That is why we asked CF Plastic Profiles to contribute ideas for the development of this product. CF Plastic Profiles showed us how fast they work. The speed from the production of the matrix to the first test order and the changes during the process were unprecedented from any previous experience we had.”
Pieter Veldkamp: “Because of our optimal cooperation, Kingspan also chooses to order standard plastic profiles, which are frequently requested in the market, from CF Plastic Profiles. In practice, this means that we purchase more than 700,000 meters of plastic profiles from CF Plastic Profiles. These 21 different profiles, in combination with various Kingspan products, are mainly sold in the Netherlands and Germany.”
Pieter Veldkamp: “Flexibility, that is, among other things, what distinguishes CF Plastic Profiles from other suppliers. This, for example, is expressed, in the fact that CF Plastic Profiles, as one of the few suppliers, offers the possibility to keep the plastic profiles for Kingspan in stock. As such, the profiles are available for Kingspan on demand.”
This results in fast delivery times and also offers us the possibility to have the existing profiles post-processed by CF according to our wishes. In short, we choose to work with CF Plastic Profiles because of their stock keeping combined with speed, flexibility, and offering enhanced customized solutions.

Firstly, we listen carefully to our customers; next, we discuss the options we can offer and assess whether that fits the customer’s needs. To me, this makes a major difference. Next, we keep working on the customer’s requirements until we can produce an ideal fitting matrix and plastic profile. During the whole process, we keep an open mind, stay flexible, and do not mind going the extra mile.”
